chipped my wheel :(

Yeah, I was stupid, carelessly backed into a spot and my rear right tire caught on the curb. Now there's some nice marks on the wheel :( is there anything I can do to repair the black?

Man, people are always curbing these beautiful wheels. Depending on how bad the scratches are, you could try a sharpie or touch up paint.

Yeah the paint on these are not too great and you'll end up getting scratches here and there....I would use a semi gloss black to maybe cover it up. After a few years you can bring them to a wheel repair guy who can make them look like new for a few hundred bucks.

The marks aren't bad.. It's just on the very outer edge, and damage is like a foot long :( The wheel took it like a champ, its just a little chapped and obviously discolored now. Should I sharpie or spray paint? I don't know where to find paint codes for wheels..

Assuming you are near a major city you should be able to locate a mobile wheel service. They will come to you, take the wheel off, break the outer bead, and fix it on the spot for no more than 200 bucks. Otherwise, you can buy a new wheel for about 900 - 1100 or find someone that has an extra rear wheel for sale like: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=360442

Use the sharpie. If it's not to your liking then paint it or have it professionally fixed.

I did the same thing, just hit mine with a scotch brite pad on my angled die grinder to smooth everything out and then bought some duplicolor black wheel paint and sprayed it into the cap and dabbed it on with a q-tip and it came out bitchen, can't even tell I whacked it and it was a good long about 8 inch scrape along the edge. Just go light and do it once or twice, trust me nobody will ever know. Been over 6 months since I did it and its still looks great, remember these wheels are painted from the factory. Bought the stuff at my local autoparts store.

I took my wheel to my local Chevrolet dealer body shop and they repaired it. I cannot even tell where it was damaged. It cost me $106.00.

I was wondering now that you mentioned it. So our wheels are just painted not powder coated?
