Soooo...I just blew my car up!
I was on my 6th and last pass of the day when I decided "Hey, lets see what she'll do with the factory installed launch control on"....
Well here's what happened...Tree lit up hammered the gas, holding at 4200rpm, clutch out "BOOM" rearend gone! Not a happy camper right now. 2400 miles on the car! Maybe nows the time to put that 3.73 in... |

Broken rear is odd. They usually break axles.

I'm hoping the warrany will cover it! Not gonna tell them I was at the track though. Only mods are Borla S-type catback, k&n typhoon CAI and Hurst ST shifter...
I'm pretty sure it's the rearend, when I put it in gear and start to let out the clutch its just clack clack clack, no movement |

This is exactly why I've said it a hundred times. Why would you put this on the track? If the dealer was to find out you were on the strip they would not cover it.

Lol I know that feeling. I took out the rear end in the beast a cupple years back. But just about every racer was willing to help me out. It was nice to see how fellow racers get together to help some one they don't know.

Don't waste your time with 3.73 if you're going to change your rear end. Go 4.10 or 4.30 for a more radical launch. 3.73 is not worth the change in a LS3.
Good Luck |

Because we don't street race remember.
Anyway ive been doing some looking into the rear ends on these and it seems they are a weak link. I am deciding myself to get a conversion kit from Ted or gettin a rebuild oon mine.
