Vinyl Wrap Information

Guys who have had hood-roof or trunk lid wrapped in vinyl...I would like to know what you do to keep it clean...Doesn't it scratch...When car is parked outside during day and you get dust or light sand...Normally you would use a California duster and then Quick detailer...Also how is the vinyl holding up...Sun & rain...Would like to get feedback...Planning on possibly doing some vinyl this spring...

I've had mine done for a while and it is holding up great. I use a california duster and it works fine. Every so often I wipe it down with Adams super vrt keeps it protected and looking nice.

What color? Matte vinyl you can use a spray detailer but do not wax it!.

Yes, be careful on matte black or textured vinyl and wax. It can cause streaks and some discoloration. Adams and Zaino detail spray works great. If you get any streaks on that are tough to get of, I used a magic eraser from mr clean. Worked great. But as far as stripe durability, I guess it could depend on brand and type of film. I have OEM stripes and they are great. Been through cold, warm, rain, and some light snow.

A good youtube video from Meguiar's on the subject of keeping your vinyl wrap looking good.

My whole car is wrapped matte white and i use a matte detailer to wipe anything off daily and wash the car probably 2-3 times a week and it's holding up great!
