Put on my CAI Inc goodies today...the sound change from the engine inside the car alone is worth the price. All the other stuff is just extra, more power...improved response...mpg increase...looks amazing.

Got my CAI, Rotofab w/w bottle, and race scoop installed today. HOLY SHIT. That CAI lid was a PITA. :\ I accidentally put some minor scrapes in the surface as the screwdriver slipped while trying to get that front screw to grab. :( Oh well, can't hardly notice. I did spend what felt like an hour trying to get it on though. Shifted the box several times and eventually it went in.
Looks sexy as hell, the car feels a lot more lively, and the noise at WOT kind of surprised me. I don't have mufflers though, so it probably masks some of the audio improvement the CAI added. My car has a "strong" MAF sensor already from the factory. I checked before I did the work in case I needed to order one. Thanks CAI inc, for the great product. I can't wait to see what happens to this beast once I open her throat up later on with those headers. |

I think a lot of folks do this. I was warned by another camaro owner and took precautions. |

Kinda wished I'd been more careful, but it was getting dark and freezing out. Those quarter-turn screws are nice, but I wish they were hex nuts or maybe even thumb screws. That would prevent the damages people are reporting. I can see why it's easily done with this setup. That lid fits SNUG!

it happened to me on my CAI too, getting the lid attached took longer than everything else put together. i have a small dummy mark on my lid from the screwdriver slipping :banghead:

Getting ready to order. There are a few cars out there that have had their's painted. I really like the way a fellow member has her's painted gloss black. Any cons in getting the product painted? Thanks in advance.
