Leather Help
Yesterday, I was getting out of my car for work from the driver seat, I touched the steering wheel with my jeans. I didn't think much of it until I got back into the car to head home when I noticed and felt this.
by rockyz1980, on Flickr I must have scrapped the steering wheel with the rivets from my jeans pocket. ugh. Any idea how I can repair or "heal" the steering wheel? Thanks in advanced. |

Try talking to your dealership and see what they might have there for repairs or a leather shop might help.

I did that on my 2003 S-10 about 7 years ago. The exact same type of damage. Truth be told, I never fixed it and it never became an issue. It was on the bottom of wheel where you couldn't see it and I always cleaned and conditioned the leather on the wheel so it never got worse.

The pigment got scuffed which really chaps my hide. (Joke).
There is no real quick fix, other than having the wheel re-wrapped in leather. |

Thanks for the help everyone. I'll talk to my dealership to see what they recommend.
