Blacker Rims?

Looking for ideas for possibly painting my new rims. Got a pretty new set of midnight silver factory RS rims for my car. Was thinking about painting some black in the rims? My car is black with black stripes with red bowtie emblems, so maybe paint the red bow tie in the center cap? Sorry I don't have pics, my car is all apart right now. I don't think I want the whole rim black, just part. Any ideas? Pics Please

I had my stock rims powder-coated black:

My winter rims have a red ring that looks pretty sharp and might go well with your red bits:

Powder coat (can be pricy) if you want it to hold up good, or you can plasti-dip them. Pasti-dip is cheap and you can do it yourself, but it isn't as durable as powdercoating.

I'm thinking of doing that exact thing to my car, once I get it :(
Do you think the powder coating will hold up well?
It's next to impossible to get the 1le rims on a factory ordered ss so I'm thinking paint or powder coating is next best.

Just plasti-dip your wheels and paint your brake calipers red.

Mess around with plasticdip. So easy to put on and take off, just use many coats, comes off easier. You can mess with so many options on your SS wheels until you find something you like without commitment. Also cheap pinstriping is easily found at any parts store in many combos and just like plasticdip it can be easily removed. Try some red pinstripe around your black stripes.

Agreed, platidip is an amazing product that is pretty durable and very versatile. Just give them a couple sqirts of tire shine and then wipe them down with a micro fiber cloth while you let your tires soak in the goodness every couple weeks and they will stay black and shinny. There are many youtube videos about this. Be aware, some tire shine products with eat through the plastidip. Armorall works great, meguires eats it up from my experience. A pic of my stock wheels with 10 month old plasti dip. Dont forget, put on alot of coats and it makes it easier to remove or maintain.
