Question Aftermarket Exhaust for Camaro Convertible?

Does anybody know if the new reinforcement additions to the underside of the new Camaro convertibles (particularily SS) will effect the application of an aftermarket exhaust system? Wanted to install an exhaust immediately upon receipt of my car, but I'm afraid there may (or may not) be a brace in the way that wasn't accounted for during the initial exhaust designs...

Unfortunately, until one gets their hands on a real car, it is too early to call. I have seen where even the same car has had minor changes, year-to-year, making changes necessary.

For anyone interested, per Number 3, who did the GM road trip recently in a production 2011 convert SS, he advised the exhaust routing etc remained in tact and current (coupe) systems should fit fine on the converts.

sorry man you are best off waiting a bit longer for some undershots of the car at a minimum, or until folks start getting their hands on it as a better solution.

These are some undercarriage photos I got of the new Vert at the LA auto shoe preview. Hope they help. Everything appears to be routed the same just some extra bracing as well

That would be GREAT! !!! I'd emailed them in Nov when I placed my order, but they said it was too early and they didn't have a test model yet. Hopefully heyll no more now, I definitely appreciate it!..

I sent a question to SLP asking if their 3" cat back (part# 30220) would work on the 2011 vert.
Here's the email correspondence:

SLP> Part# 30220 cannot be used on a convertible due to an extra support that is in place. Headers and cats will fit and all axle backs will fit.
Regards.

me> Is SLP planning to offer a cat back system for the convertible in the near future?

SLP> We are not due to the extra brace the convertible has

me> Do you know of any company that makes a cat back system for the convertible that would work with my SLP Loudmouth axle back?

So, it appears SLP isn't planning on offering a cat back exhaust for th vert any time soon. If they answer my last question, I will post their reply.
