Nothing really just how we need to advertise it and how great it is going to be and that production is on schedule for March 16 etc etc. You know the normal hipe.

No I wouldn't cancel my order. But I'm under the impression that we are paying a certain premium for that being in the car. If there was no ABL at all we shouldn't be paying that extra cost. The GM people on this sight aren't the officials. Maybe why some get in trouble for saying some things or posting some pics. But this thread is about to be old news.

I asked my dealer to de-prioritize my car hoping that they would find a solution to this problem. I would still like to know if this is a temporary thing or final. In other words, will the 2011 model have fully functional ABL as initially planned? If not, I will be yanking whatever fuse is used to light up the doors because I agree - it will look stupid.

I also will def. not cancel my order, however I do think it may look wierd with just ABL on doors only, and cant wait to see some pics or vid actually to prove me wrong because that IOM in dubai was amazing.

Good thing I didnt give GM more money and bump up to a 2SS from a 1SS!!! There is gonna be alot of pissed off people that dont get on message boards to find out before they get the car.

true but this is beyond that. This is about an option which was decided on a year ago and marketed (not rumored) to the public. It's like stating that the LS3 has 426 hp only to find out it has 375hp.

If they knew the technology was not proven, why did they commit to it so long ago? They must have known 6 months ago of the problem, yet they could not fix it after 6 months of R&D?

They should either do it right, or not do it at all - which I believe is what Scott said would be done. Doing it half assed like this is going to make it look awkward - and HALF ASSED. I wish there would be an option for us to opt out of ABL.

Just kidding, I haven't even placed it yet.

But I will...

All this might do is push me down into the 1SS level; but I'd like to see some pics first too before I decide. ABL is one of the big reasons why I decided to get a 2SS even though it's got some other stuff I don't really want, like leather seats, etc.

Edit: I just did the math, and *if* this is true, and *if* it doesn't look that great, I'll be going with a 1SS for sure.
