Rim touch up paint (Midnight Silver)??

Hey guys ,
My buddy has stock SS wheels in midnight silver on his car .
He picked up a couple of stone chips on the spokes of two of his rims .

Has anyone seen a tube of touch up paint for rims yet ?

We can get it done at napa but need the paint code for the rims .

Anyone know where I can pick up a tube ? or find the paint code ?

Thanks
Ryan

I have used Dupli-Color Scratch Fix 2in 1 product no.: NG GM 340 and I can't see any difference in color from the wheels.

For small chips etc the various touch-up paints available work well. For larger damage (curb rash) it gets tricky. As I learned (unfortunately), the paint on our RS rims is created by 3 layers. First black, then silver, then clear. It makes proper repairs harder and more costly to match it exactly. If you're really picky like me

Thanks guys,
I am gonna try that duplicolor paint out on his rim .
I have to use like a model paint brush it's the smallest of chips .
They look like little specks of dirt on the edge of the spokes.

I am gonna get myself a bottle too for down the road, just incase

You mean you didn't buy a new rim?

The judges aren't gonna be liking that, not one bit but your secret is safe with me and I won't say a word. Which rim was it anyway?

WTF??!! Mine are too! BUT mine are made in a small peasant village near the Mongolian border. It is said that this village, known for it's enigmatic craftsmen, insist on using the same tools used during the Xia Dynasty (2100-1600 B.C.) which are made of granite and chewed and semi digested bamboo shoots. I cannot wait to see the results!

Mine had a small mark on the RF wheel when I picked it up, originally. The dealer said that they would replace it, rather than try to get it touched up (after some persuasion from my end ). Dealer invoice is $857.25 (on my work order) for ONE midnight silver wheel!

What is making the cost so high?
