Disappointed with MPG
So while I was breaking in the 2LT Camaro, I was getting around 18-20, but I figured it would increase after the break-in. However, now I am up over 3000 miles and I'm only getting about 14.5 MPG, with mostly highway driving. Is anyone else getting such poor performance, or is it just me?

Maybe not just you, but I was easily able to achieve nearly double that on the highway from my experience and a lot of miles with V6s.
Taking Number 3 to California and back over Christmas we easily got better than 25 mpg with several states with 75 mph speed limits.

Stupid question but I have to ask it...
Are you manually calculating your MPG per tank or is the 14.5mpg average from the computer? If it is from the computer, when was the last time you reset it? With a bit over 3000 miles on mine, I'm seeing right about 21-22mpg average per tank with roughly 50% being highway speeds and 50% being in town or stop and go traffic (under 20mph).

Either you are doing something wrong, or there is something wrong with your car.
I have a 2SS and still get at least 23mpg doing 75mph on the hwy. |

Something's going on; I've gotten close to 25 in my SS while crusing @ 60 on I-66 in VA .
I think you do have to reset it, otherwise it averages MPG based on all types of driving. If I get on 66 without resetting it factors in all the S&G I did getting there.

This is the number from the computer, and I reset it a few weeks ago. It was sitting at about 18, and when I reset it, it dropped down to around 14 and has hovered around 14-14.5 since then.

I'm averaging 22-23 mpg with 3500 miles. Somethings wrong, reset the DIC, if it's not that, have the dealer check it out.

Get on the hwy. then set your cruise at say 65ish, then reset your mileage. Go for a while (at least 10 miles) then see what it says.

Based on an average of 14.5mpg, I'm guessing you make it about 200 miles before hitting 1/4 tank left?

You need to reset it:
Page 4.28 in the manual: Average Fuel Economy The Average Fuel Economy display shows the approximate average miles per gallon (mpg) or liters per 100 kilometers (L/100 km). This number is calculated based on the number of mpg (L/100 km) recorded since the last time this menu item was reset. The fuel economy can be reset by pressing the SET button while the Average Fuel Economy display is showing.
