This gotta be the worst Homework assignment in the history of high school, Does anybody remember the pina coladas song, well see made us listen to the song and told us we have to right a song about any Characters P.O.V. from the story Hamlet, with the same rhythm and flow of the the pina coladas song,

It has to be 16 lines, and each line has to have 5 syllables

I swear Ms. Ward is a real hard ass

This assignment is probably MUCH easier than converting people from Chevys to Dodges! I wonder if everybody on the Mopar board knows that the "King Mopar" is still in highschool and on the Camaro forums... LOL Just givin you a hard time man.

I feel sorry for you.
I find that English was one of the most pointless class I have ever taken in life. Write an essay about Hamlet; and papers about pointless subjects. This is why I am an Engineer Student. I don't write papers about how motifs and themes behind books where the teacher/professor tells you that your argument is wrong.
And don't get me started on the horrors of Shakespeare. Seriously what was that guy on when he was writing his plays.

Unfortunately, I think this ^^^ is self-evident.

When I was teaching freshman physics labs at the uni, I got called into the Chair's office one day and was asked to stop marking spelling/grammar/structure/etc. (marking but not taking off points, mind you) on lab reports because students were complaining that they shouldn't have write effectively anywhere outside of an English class.

Personally, I think that's sad.

I also think that's a pretty creative assignment (but I wouldn't use Spike's opening because Oedipus & Hamlet seem to have gotten mixed up there...)

EDIT: I recommend taking Opelia's POV as she is floating downstream. Tremendous possibilities! Or maybe go with Yorick (the POV of a skull pulled from a freshly dug grave would be interesting.)

LOL! I briefly entertained the idea of doing the assignment (from the POV of Polonius, actually) just for fun but realized the boy needs to do it himself!!!
