I crank it up, let it idle down, back it out of the garage, fasten seat belt, and go - about two minutes max. 1/2 mile slow cruise to the highway (35 mph zone), then ease up to 55-65 within about 6 or 7 minutes of startup.

I use a key that was provided by the manufacturer. It works every time!

For what it is worth, engines warm up quicker, which is better, under a light load (driving easy). So after the whole key thing, drive it nicely for a while until it gets some temp, then have fun!

Your actually suppose to wait for it to warm up so the oil can circulate all the way through the engine. The first start up is the most detrimental time to an engine. Hence why you should wait. Id rather lose an extra ounce of gas than lose a engine.

I've started a few engines and drove off right away with the engine not sounding quite right..... I've heard its really bad for the engine to wake up and get pushed around under various circumstances..

due to the above I always start the car up before performing certain tasks when preparing to leave the house.. so average is 5 mins..

if i'm in a rush i'll at the very least wait till the temp gauge (left of the DIC) is past the first line..

Not a choice but I don't start it everyday, perhaps 3-4x per week

Start it, wait for the garage door to open, slowly drive out of the garage, wait for the garage door to close, then start driving. This gives ample time for the engine to warm up, and eliminates the "Did I close the garage door?" nonsense.

Someone beat me to it.

I don't warm mine up for an extended period, unless it's winter and very cold.

I usually get in, start the car, lower the top, put on my seatbelt, close the door, then wait 5 minutes for my wife that said she was ready to go before I came out of the house, then we leave. I select other
