for those of you complaining about brakes and the cost of maintenance and ownership....this car probably isn't for you. you may want to stick to a modded SS. for those intending to drive the car at track days and not worry about brakes and tires.....its the perfect car.

I won't have any worries, none of my Camaros are daily drivers.

I wont either. ive had my SS for 4 years and I only have 7900 on it...... drive the shit out of it...just don't do it every day. and if I needed a daily driver, I would pick a Z28. id get something that suited my lifestyle more. id get a z28 as a toy car.

The 1le does not wiegh 300lbs less and come with an ls7! Really just depends on what the car is gonna go for anyway. The 1le or Zl1 just does not make me feel like I would ever want to trade up. This does, buts its a pipe dream if its a 75k car anyway. 50k I can see myself doing on a used one in a few years, but Only time will tell were this is truely gonna go when it hits the street!

the Z28 weighs 300 pounds less than a ZL1. 4120 lbs - 300 = 3820 lbs... dont get too excited

I like a lot of people are missing the little important piece of information.

I don't care about the brakes. The biggest concern I have is busting up that splitter as low as it is.

Granted I havent priced the exact brakes, but I have bought tons of car parts in my life time, and 10k for a brake job sounds like the biggest load of bullshit ive ever heard.

I drove the Richard Petty driving experience last summer and they took us a tour of the garage while waiting for rain to pass. They had a Ferrari on the lift doing a brake job. they said it cost $25,000 for that. Maybe you haven't been around many exotic parts like the brakes on the Z/28.
