theirs the grinding issue, it could happen once and you will burn out a cog or 2

I thought we concluded that was low-mileage, cold-temps, and driver issue...therefore nothing to worry about...

I got my 2005 Mustang right when it came out and I have not had one problem

the only thing they forgot to do in the 05s was put in a trunk release button on the inside of the car, you can only do it with the remote lol

Automatic tranny. Problem (if there really is one) solved.

Yes it was a few years ago. I just stated that it was my only experience with those brakes. I know good brakes but i just hope they dont have any wearing problems like before.. It wouldnt prevent me from buying, i would buy regardless.

i'm not too worried, GM has had enough time to work out any issues. there still is the thought in the back of my mind that it is a first production vehicle, but hopefully it's good to go. i've had bad luck with every vehicle i've owned, so hopefully i don't get a lemon LOL

I wouldn't be worried, GM has been putting together fairly solid launches for quite a few years.

Once we learned from Scott that some IVERs have over 200,000 miles on them, I was convinced the quality of the innitial lauch production cars will be just as good as the second and third year run.

Those cars were also driven hard, through torturous conditions and climates, and every detail that went wrong was analyzed and corrected to make it right.

I know there are pictures of the IVERs somewhere that show them in the desert caked with dirt, mud, and the interiors beated to a pulp. As well there are a few pictures of them being tested in one of the Scandinavian countries in the middle of winter, in the snow and sub zero temperatures. I even remember Scott saying the car has to start on the first twist of the key at -20 degrees farenheit after sitting out for 2 days, and run up hills all day at 110 degrees F with the A/C blasting and extra weight in the car without the engine getting the least bit hotter than normal running temperature. Then shut it off and start again on the first twist. Idle smoothly, and do it all over again.

I had the first year for the SRT-4 (2003). The only issue I ever had with it was the Aic Cond. unit leaking. . no biggy. .

Now I have the frist year for the NITRO (2007). And the only thing I've done to it is change the oil. . . not a issue yet. . 19,000 miles.

Come to term with the possibility of minor bugs and you will be fine. I don't expect anything out of the ordinary due to its rigorous testing, but a bug or two wouldn't surprise me.
