I think of this way! If the Mustang hadn't been made we mite not have the Camaro. The Camaro was made in anwser to the Mustang. So I think we do oue a big thanks to the man because with one you have the other.

So RIP Carroll Shelby we will miss you!!

Theres nothing here about brands. Shelby was a legend and there should be no doubt his influence and passion definitely contributed to any V8 rear drive american performance car. The AC Cobra being one of the most important American contributions to the global performance arena. His influence cannot be underplayed no matter what you drive. When you even go into the driveway and slap a K&N filter in your car it's that exact spirit and desire that he lived by. Godfather of American Hotrodding IMO. Hes gone but his spirit lives within anyone that pops the hood and does any of that lil extra to a supercharger to push their ride just that lil bit further. To me the older guys that pioneered and pushed the hobby to what it is today deserves the upmost respect. Keep the rubber side down Mr. Shelby. RIP.

This is a huge lost for not only his family, but the whole industry. Very sad. He made a beautiful car. Seemed like a great man and im sure he was watching different programs about him on the speed channel. R.I.P.
