ambient lighting - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I've been looking through these forums for about a year and joined today just to ask if anyone knew why there was no ambient lighting on the production cars, if they were coming later and if I ordered in about a week do you think I'd get it in the camaro.

I want it by june 26, can you guess why?

Welcome to the site! There is ABL on all 2LTs and 2SSs, but only on the door panels.

EDIT: If you do some searching, you can find all the history, but in summary it is only on the door panels because the quality of the run across the dash was not up to snuff.

The robotic transformation package doesn't come out until MY 2011 buddy...

Correct. It is on the production cars. No one has seen a production picture of it yet though. There is a CGI picture on here something that I am trying to track down for you.

Thanks for the pictures, it would explain why it wasn't noticeable before, it looks alot different from how it did when it wrapped the dashboard. If I can't get it by june I guess I'll be fine, but I tried as hard as I could. I remember first seeing the oct. 13 preorder and
jumping around the house but I was 15 with no money, now I turned 16 last month got a job at the movies (free transformers over and over) immediately and next week I'll get to 500 dollars.It sure would have been nice for people to say "transformers was so cool" then they look over and "holy crap its bumblebee.
