Estimate

So a guy decided to drive into my lane the other day. The insurance agency has told me that there is a high probability that its going to be a 50/50 liability claim. So I am wondering if anyone can give me an estimate on what this is going to cost me. I know I only have to pay for the deductible, but I want to know the overall cost of the new fender, waterbased paint, labor hours, etc.

My fender was 605. Had the same thing happen to me recently with my mom backing into my car and the right fender to repair was $605. Hopefully they didn't mess up your alignment and wheels. No need in replacing the fender either. They pulled out my dents and painted it brand new.

I'm no crash reconstruction expert but the angle of that picture looks like it was you moving over into him. The damage doesn't look too bad so hopefully you can get it fixed for under 1K.

I'm with these guys... based my experiences I'd say you'd be in the range of about $800. Got off pretty well all things considered, looks like it was mostly his tire that came into contact with you.

The reason my angle is much more extreme than his is because I was travelling at a much slower rate. I guess I should explain the situation:
I was in the right hand lane of a three lane road approaching a T-intersection during 5 o-clock traffic. The lane I was on was a right-turn-only lane. The other two were left-only. I ride until I was about 150ft from the intersection, I use my blinker and slow down to switch lanes. A woman in a white older model Lincoln Towncar stops to allow me to merge into her lane. I get about 75% into the lane when the guy in the F150 comes flying through into the lane at about 30mph. Its my assumption since his truck is raised and there was a car in front of him, that he did not see me until he came into the lane. I swear I saw the whole thing in slow motion, there was nothing I could do, but let my baby get hit.

I just got my estimate at just under $1,000. He ate the body lines so I have to get a new fender. Luckily his truck was raised, because if not it would of ran straight into my tire, which would of been ALOT more expensive to repair.

Still confused where this F150 came from lol....

Were you two attempting to merge into the middle lane from the outside lanes at the same time?

Pretty Much.
There are no witnesses and the police didn't file a report. Odds are I am going to be responsible for the deductible.

That makes sense now.

Odd that the PD didn't take a report, unless this was a private road which it does not sound/look like it.
