I personally wouldnt go for any used car regardless of mods. Im not a fan of buying someone elses potential problem/s. What is the old cliche, "buyer beware".

For me if it were basic bolt ons like intake, headers, tune, exhaust I wouldn't worry to much if I knew who did the tune. If you can show it was JRE or ADM or someone with some good history I would be okay. If on the other hand it was your friends 18 yr old neighbor who is trying to learn tuning I would stay away.

However, IMO, when you start going into the motor such as adding a cam or heads then I would probably stay away. Again, if you could prove to me it was done by someone like JRE or ADM then I might be slightly consider it but I would be very skeptical and I would have to see all the reciepts.

This is why I haven't gone with a cam or supercharger. I might someday down the road but it will be a long time.

I think you will probably be able to sell the car but you'll have to find someone that is either okay with who did your work or doesn't know any better. On top of that you'll more than likely not be able to get much if anything at all for the mods over book value.

Like someone mentioned....your best bet would be to put it back to stock if you can. Or, be willing to take the loss on the mods which aren't cheap for our cars.

BTW: I'm not going to hammer you about the use of the "M" word but it does make me crindge when I see/hear it. Redneck talk right them there.....

Definitely 100% agree. There is also no guarantee that the mods were done absolutely correct either. I usually like to be in charge of all my modding on my car because someone else may not have the same attention to detail or wanting the best quality part/material as I do.

Just things I think about especially for large items

As per my resources, warranty coverage for a vehicle follows the vehicle and not the owner.

Are you experiencing an issue? If you want to send me your VIN, I can send you the parameters and specifics to your warranty!

I'm prolly gonna try to sell it, but if no one wants it, I don't mind keeping it. Going through some financial trouble. Its not NECESSARY that it sells, but it would help out.

If it still has the factory tires on it at 12,000 I would probably believe your story of not much abuse. Then I'd look at brakes, abused cars always have abused brakes, rattles, how does the clutch feel, etc.

I would and have bought used cars that are modded, there's a lot to be said for letting you go through the money, hassle, and time it takes, sometimes even if it isn't the mods I want.

I bought a Mustang once that had a trans in it that I hated, was ruining the whole car, but I knew how much money it was worth. So I sold the trans and bought a Tremec.
