I know why they did it, But the Z is still selling so It's not that big a deal, if you want a performance vehicle. U have to pay to play sometimes. I know I can get more out of the engine, so I'm spending the money anyway.

Yes, I often regret getting the auto. The real kicker is I saw the exact car I should have got at the dealer. 2SS SGM manual. I ended up getting the 1SS SGM auto and would never part with it. love the color!! Even though its an auto I still love my car!!!!

I just learned that the Auto drops 4 cylinders at cruise on the Highway. After reading the Forum it seems that quite a large percentage absolutely hate this feature and are desperate to have it removed.

Check out the Range thread in the Market place/v-8 bolt-ons forum...I think it will make you happy..

Not the Camaro, I bought a manual because of my last car. I had a Hyundai Genesis coupe, a quick little light car but it was HORRIBLE to drive because of it's tranny. A stock turbo like mine is slow, it's nimble but it's pretty worthless without a manual.

Never gonna buy an automatic again unless it's a Lambo or something

No regrets here- mine is quite a lot of fun to drive. And ZERO mods were needed to the auto tranny even at my power level. And I asked several times to make sure. They are rock solid.

I don't think Fred Flinstone was actually shifting. But don't get me wrong I have always owned automatics for the Wife and Kids to run around Town with.
