The LS3s are no joke. Underrated fa sho. Makes the LS2 look like complete crap. I remember selling the first 08 vette (at our store) back on 7.14.07 and test driving it and it was amazing!

Those heads flow like crazy. Way better than the Gen III heads, and those were pretty good.

HELLO!!!!

hey any of you guys know if there are the same gains to be had on the 6.0L? My dad has an '07 corvette and has talked about supercharging to get + / - 500 hp. I talked him out of it. I'm trying to talk him into a Z06.

the LS2 heads are not the same. LS3's have the L92 heads. althought you can swap the L92's over. . . as for the Zo6 I love the car but for ever doing forced induction it's a sad sad story. if you did it can't be more then 8 lbs of boost. where as with the LS3 you can have a whole lot more. . .if you upgrade the bottom end.

cut and pasted from the article:

" And then, just for kicks, LG added "longtube headers, performance cam, ported intake, K&N aircharger, under-drive pulley and a custom tune" and got a quick boost of more than 100 hp at the rears. That car now shows 506.7 hp and 457.1 ft-lbs... at the wheels! "

Lou's numbers are always a bit higher than what everyone else gets with his same mods... I'd expect about a 5% decrease in the real world vs. the LGM dyno... and the cost of those mods, on that car, is probably about $3000... figure right about the same for a 5th gen Camaro.

The LS3 is an amazing piece of technology.

I just hope everyone over at GM has gotten any ideas that may have been there about putting an LS2 in the Camaro out of their heads...

I could not agree more. I am hoping for a Camaro SS with the LS3, anything less just would not be right!

I was told a little over a year ago that the LS2's were being phased out. This is from a source that KNOWS. Don't worry...no LS2's in these bad boys!
