They are almost the same, the difference being that griffon is 5 ft. taller and has two loops whereas sheikra has a longer track and only one loop. Also, griffon cost more to build and I think that it's a little quicker by a second or so. If I'm not mistaken, griffon's cars are built differently to accomodate more people.

Yeh, I can imagine

Expedition Everest isn't really that entertaining until you get to the part where the lights are off in the tunnels and the yeti is supposed to be scaring the riders. I honestly wish that disney can make the ride scarier eventually. I mean sure it's supposed to be a ride for kids and adults but really no one's scared of the yeti.

Griffin at Busch gardens is pretty dang scary if you don't know the dang ride stops just over the crest of the first drop so you're just looking straight down at the ground.
Really don't know what you're talking about with a point to point roller coaster. Is it something that existed 20 years ago?

besides the only very good theme parks in europe are disneyland paris and europa-park. I still don't know how europa-park managed to get away with building a clone of spaceship earth

I still remember how there was the rumor that michael jackson wanted to build a theme park in Poland. Poland is an awesome place to build one, especially since geographically it is located right in the center of europe but I think that universal or busch gardens should do it

Well it was around at Six Flags in Jackson in 1998-2002 or so. Shot you straight out like Top Thrill, then you went straight up and then back down toward the ground like Kingda Ka, then the track did a corkscrew and went up and came to a stop... then the ride went in reverse back to the beginning. It must be closed bc it's not on the Six Flags site. Tell me I'm not making this up...

It definitely existed, it was called batman and robin the chiller

http://www.joyrides.com/sfgad/chiller3.htm

But they closed it down in 07 (I believe?) The problem was that the magnets that they used were screwed up, and even though they tried to fix them it never worked out. Just a lot of down time

They took the ride apart and put in the new one Batman the dark knight when the dark knight came out.

Supposedly from what I have read they didn't damage the pieces or anything when they were taking it apart because they wanted to sell it but no park seems interested in buying it. So it's still somewhere on the great adventure property (the part that's closed to the public) and the only way to see it is to drive up and walk past some guy's private property

An interesting fact that I read is that the guy who owns the six flags chain and obviously the great adventure park is the same guy that owns the redskins. He forced a takeover by buying up the majority of stocks/shares

Also I've heard of another rumor that in 2011 or 2012 great adventure is celebrating some sort of anniversary so management is already in the process of looking into options for another coaster to open not this but next season or the season after

I LOVE roller coasters, definitely need to get to Cedar Point sometime Until then, the Manta at Seaworld in Orlando is probably my favorite. I think we went on it a dozen times in a row when we were there in April!
