ZL1 QC Hold Extension "mega"-Thread

Round two of QC is going much smoother than round one went for those taking part in each. In '09, nobody knew what was going on. Low number cars were being delivered weeks after cars built 20,000 cars later.

Even after the QC was lifted in '09 there were still issues that popped up. They should keep the CTF fleet running hard, hitting the track, and placed in unsuspecting enthusiasts hands (*wink wink) and allow them to do their worst to them. If the fleet is being driven by the accountants, there isn't much chance of finding the real issues. Let's see some "Ferris Bueller" testers. . Hell, I'll do it for ya.

We know they exsist, it's not like they are going to someone else and I'm pretty sure GM doesn't want them sitting around collecting orange peel while the tires get flat spots.

I'm pretty sure nobody wants to be the one that finds the battery cable issue or be the one to realize their output shaft is milled to the wrong spec size the first time they dump the clutch, but I could be wrong......

can anyone help me gm track your order says shipped/ en route but gm connect says 3400 order coming together i dont understand they say two differant things. I saw a line about window sticker/ vin i click the line and nothing comes up. does this mean my car is built but i dont see a vin# my order #qbrtdz) thanks

Please note that yours is one of the rare ones that does not update automatically and has to be checked manually on gmconnects. Eric did the last update yesterday mid day and at that point it was in fact still at 3400. Now as you can see it has finally came off the line and you have your vin. This all should show up upon the next manual update. I do not know why it is getting spat over to our manual update export. Perhaps due to an error at registration with the state code or perhaps due to the type of order originally entered into the global connect system by the dealer. None the less...Congrats...sounds like great news.

Actually, I think the capacitor issue is related to the material from which the dielectirc is made.

Well, the non conformance of what rhe dielectric is made could explain either of the above symptoms. Must not be all that serious as it looks like another 27 rolled off the line lol. Congrats jbotta!
