I recommended against it. There were a lot of scratches that I could get out, but there would still be enough left that it wouldn't look "finished" no matter what I did. IMO, not worth it for them to spend the money because the eye would still be drawn to the major damage.

That sucks so hard when a car is so neglected that correction isn't even worth it due to the amount of RIDS that would remain. To get it perfect, you'll thin out the clear so bad that paint system failure would be impending very soon.

Damn Matt, great work. Since I haven't taken the dive into paint correction yet, this is the type of job that I have handled (not this bad, but same idea) so far. Love seeing the transormation though, looks amazing.
