cage is actually way more dangerous if your not wearing a helmet in the car at all times. least a 8.5's certed cage is. a simple cage with no roof halo wouldn't be that big of a deal. but those are only good till 10.00. and im coming up on that now, so it would be pointless

I drive this car way to much to put a certed cage in it. its got a kids seat in the back seat. wife takes it to the grocery store all the time. I still put about 1000 miles a month on the car.

That's a very good point. That's why they are required to be padded anywhere your head can hit.

I'm suprised they let you run it with no cage going that fast. I can't imagine once you get closer to 135 you still get away with that but every track is different.

Kids seat in the back seat and the roll bar def won't work. I can see where you're coming from.

the track is alittle fuzzy on new nhra rules concerning my car. they are under the impression that any car newer than 2008 doesn't need cage/bar/belts till they hit the 10.00 mark.

they are incorrect...since its any STOCK car that is unaltered...but im not going to correct them.

Nope. That's not you're problem. Let them figure it out. Now you just need some cooler weather.

Ya they need to clarify that rule. It is pretty grey. It would be nice if they change it to unaltered safety and structural for 2008 and newer.
I plan to put a bar in this winter but it will end trips to the ice cream shop with the kids and I cant see the wife going for groceries anymore either after that.
