What version are you using, and how did you get to ONLY display to the DIC ...what do you have in the Profile for the HUD and Radio page settings?

I just put the HUD on the g-force screen and the dash logic doesn't show up, it needs to be on a different screen to work. The radio I have set to none, it's still in the corner, just doesn't bother me.

What do you mean "it needs to be on a different screen to work" ... different from what HUD screen? I use the HUD Tach & MPH screen. Also, do you have all the HUD Profile pages set to None?

Reason I'm asking is because as one of the early Dashlogic users I've been around the block too many times with the "Unnamed Road" condition and having to pull the cluster fuse to reset things. I believe I was the first to report it to Palmer and at the time I actually got responses from them!

I too don't want any HUD or Radio displays, I only want DIC displays. I like & use the HUD Tach & MPH screen display (which I finally got to work but only in v1.15 which is what I'm currently using). When I used the same v1.15 config/profile settings with v1.17 (just added one new DIC PID) I kept getting the "unnamed Road" msg. I'd like to add some of the newer PIDs but I'm relucatant to try v1.18 as I especially don't feel like having to pull the fuse again ( I know it's no big deal but it's freezing outside) and reflashing the unit back, that's why I'm VERY interested in how you got just the DIC to display with v1.18. Thanks for your help.

The dashlogic only shows up on the tach & MPH screen on the HUD. Set the HUD to a different screen and it's not there. I've only used 1.18 so I don't know if it's a version thing or not. When I first got it I couldn't get it to work, I finally figured out you needed to be on certain screens on the HUD (Tac) and DIC (Nav?)for it to show up.

Maybe you need to set the screen before you plug it in?

So as I understand how you got it to work was: to set the HUD to the g-force screen and to set all HUD & Radio page settings to None, this way it works by displaying to the DIC only. Is that correct?

Set the HUD to any screen but the Tac, then plug in the unit. I don't think I set the HUD settings to none.

So bottom line is that since v1.15, even with v1.18 you can't use the factory Tach & MPH graphic HUD display and use Dashlogic DIC displays if you have a '10-'13 as bg with v1.17 (there was no v1.16) Palmer had to make a major software change for the '14s MYlink which is not compatible with '10-'13s ( I got this from Palmer directly).

Glad we had this dialogue as it saved me from yet again upgrading my firmware only to have to repull the Cluster fuse and reflashing back to v1.15 ... I saved V1.15 so I can see the HUD Tach & MPH display and use Dashlogic DIC displays, I just can't get any of the newer PIDs to display. If I hadn't saved v1.15 I would have returned the product. Maybe someday Palmer will maintain separate versions for '10-'13 and '14s on up ( I'm not holding my breath). Who knows the '16s may need its own version, hmmm wonder what Palmer will do then ...only support a version for the '16s or stop selling the product for '16s on up ?

my biggest complaint about it, is that the dashlogic device does not initialize when I start up the car. once the car is running, I have to unplug the device and plug it back in for it to get recognized by the system. anyone have that problem with it?.

Try this ...unplug the unit, pull Cluster fuse, wait 10 secs, plug in unit and start the car.

This is not necessarily true. I have a '13 and I'm able to to display data on the HUD tach & MPH and the DIC at the same time using firmware 1.18a.

On my HUD it's set to display rpm, mph, kr, boost and spark. The DIC is set to display IAT, IAT2, coolant temp and oil pressure.

My issue with the unit is that most of the time it won't display anything on the radio.

So here is my question, how many of you are using an extension cable to plug in your dash logic?

I've noticed most of my issues stemmed from using the cable vs plugging it in directly.

What I was talking about was being able to see the factory RPM & MPH HUD graphic display while seeing Dashlogic DIC displays ...can you do that with V1.18 ?
