So this may sound stupid but out of curiousity, any idea a standing mile for a v6?

I would bet the new 5th gen mile record will be over 200mph this time

I'll try to get most of this correct...

Fastest 5th gen mile 217 in an Orange Vert... he went 176 or 178 ish at the half...

Fastest half mile in a 5th gen at the Texas mile, 183.4... me... I was at 217 at the 3/4 when the motor let loose... blew the head gasket out of three cylinders on the right bank... No spray, just cubes and boost like you... new motor is slightly smaller cubes and lots more boost...
Stay tuned for Oct, I'm aiming to be well over 200 at the half and shooting for 260+ in the mile...

Chris had it correct above, a 4th gen from Houston, went 210 ish at the half and 263.3 at the mile... the car was destroyed at the next event... Driver is fine.....

There was a GT that went 220+ at the half and 278.X at the mile...

Sounds like you made a fantastic run... Come on down the the Texas Mile... We need some more FAST Camaro's...

That ADM car if I'm correct is the AOP by ADM twin turbo ZL1.
The ADM TT ZL1 has done 173 in the 1/2 mile and 201 in the mile. Don't know if he is going to run in Texas in October or not. You need to get your profile set-up on the Texas mile web site and be waiting at your computer when registration opens because it literally fills up in hours.

In March I went 162 in the 1/2 and 193 in the mile. I plan on being there again in October with a little more power to get me over 200 mph.

It would be good to see you there.

I haven't done a half mile event yet. Honestly I can't get going fast enough in a half mile to really feel like I'm running yet. I would like to do one of the 1 and half mile events but I hear those are just brutal on the cars.

Jess... what do you think about going to Limestone Maine not this summer but next... I'm really close to deciding to do that... I'll know for sure after October...

As for half mile events, like Jess, just feel like the car is only starting into her realm... I might do some down the road, but not in july in Texas...

I was kind of leaning toward the Mojave magnum mile and I think that is due to run in Apr 2015 also. Maine is not out of the question but it would take a lot of planning for me.

Are you planning on making the trip for sure or are you still mulling it around?

The Mojave Mile is in my sights, but yes, I am seriously considering the Loring Land Speed. October will be my determinant consideration... If I can keep my car healthy through a full weekend of really hard runs there, then the wheels will really start churning... The Loring land Speed is closer to the middle of summer, though it's been a while since I've looked at their schedule... Roughly 9 months after the fall running of the Texas Mile...

I have a co-driver planned for the trip up there in my truck... and I'll fly Corey up since he cant be gone from the shop for that long...

I would love to have you bring your car...

For now I'll say I'll see how it goes in Texas in October and if things look good I'll see if I can find a way to haul my car up to Maine. Here is the Link to their web site if anyone on the forum is interested in running either this year or next.
