I really don't get your point KatarHol. Going by your logic they just shouldn't have done a new list, but they did. So basically it's C&D's way of saying "we're going to do the list again, only this time, it's all new cars. Because TWO articles that cover 20+24 is WAY better than one article that covers 44."

So which list wins? Which list is correct by their standards?

Yeah I don't get it.

My letter went as follows: "Your article should have been 25 cars worth waiting for because you forgot a big one, the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro. I know a ton of people(myself included) who are waiting patiently for this American icon to make its return.

Are you scared no one will notice the first new Camaro in 8 years,c'mon,it's a big deal, and the car mags have covered it as much as they can with the limited info, what more do you want?? A little time ticker in each issue....6 months until the Camaro.....5 months until the Camaro.??? Be realistic.
Don't listen to him. He drives a rustang ;D J/P (kinda) but seriously, I still think they should have atleast mentioned the almighty Camaro. This car made people shed tears when it was first seen at that auto show.

Maybe it was 24 cars because next months magazine will be THE car to wait for.... The Camaro! Maybe they left out the 25th spot because it was already a given in the top 25. lol probably not, but what's wrong with wishful thinking?

Like I've been saying, America to me has lost sight of what it truly stands for. This car for me is one of the great symbols of what hard working Americans can accomplish. Sure it will be built in Canada blah blah blah yadda yadda yadda, but the idea of bringing it back and the designing and engineering of it is still all American baby. This car is one of the few things that keeps me believing that the American dream still exists. I watched the debut video on the net when it was released and I gotta admit, it had me choked up. It's more than just a sweet ride that I can go fast in; it's a personal symbol of who the hell I am and what I put my uniform on for every day. I can't wait until the day that I can be enjoying some fine American backroads with the windows down and some good music blasting on the stereo, and to listen to the tranquil sounds of the leaves blowing in the wind and the birds singing be shattered by the sweet melody of MY V8 Camaro firing up. This car deservs a 21 gun salute and a flyover at it's official debut.

I thought close to the same when i first read it, but i let it roll off of me. Does it sound like they're down playing the Pony Car market and their technologies? yes they even said something about the G8 i didn't agree with, but you have to remember they are people and they have opinions too. Let them have theirs and you have yours...

Prolly because it was on the 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007 list. They gave up on it. But I subscribe to Automoble mag, Automobile had the hot new cars first and got it right.

Abso-freakin-lutely! I agree 100%! As far as Car and Driver goes....I started my subscription when I was in 6th grade!!! (March 1975 was my first issue). I loved their black-sheep attitude. The writers were funny, the mag wasn't so biased. As years went on, some editors came and went, but the attitude and humor was still there. Hell, I was in Ann Arbor for the Nascar race in August of 1995, and dropped by their HQ. Met Csaba Csere, and a few others, got a tour of the joint...it was all good. But in the past few years, things started to change.(including ownership) That's when I noticed the really huge bias against American cars. It was all foreign stuff. TOO MUCH FOREIGN STUFF. So, after 32 years, I let my subscription lapse! did I get a letter from CD asking what happened? Hell NO. They don't give a rat's ass, and neither do any of the other car mags. I could CARE LESS what these morons have to say. I'm a big boy, I can make my own judgements. Besides, these magazines are only about ONE thing: Advertising revenue. Screw you, Car and Driver..and MT and R&T, and ...well, you get the idea! okay, rant over!

C&D couldn't drive themselves out of a paper bag. Case closed.
