The dealer I work with said GM kind of disowned the car with GM Money. He can not get any incentive money on them, He also told me he is going to avoid Z/28 trade ins. Gm pays for some of the repairs on cars taken in on trade for the certified program. But he had seen 2, that people wanted to trade in and the brake and tire replacements were way to much. And GM will not kick in, cars that are tracked have a small fortune in replacement parts.

It should have been easy. I made my deal online. Without meeting sales person or even seeing the car. I said what I would pay and they said yes or No. Same with GT-R. I was trying to buy the car but they wanted a stupid amount of cash for a car that came out in 09. I told them to die. GT 350 sales person too.

When they were brand new just couldn't do the $$$$
I am curious what peoples opinions and thoughts were as this will be driven maybe not daily but not a garage queen either.

Posted it also in SS forum also but someone suggested posting in this forum as people in here have a Z/28
Thanks
When you say that both are for sale for under 60K, I assume that is before tax and license (+10%) ?
I am looking at 2015 w/o a/c, 1000 miles for 59K OTD, what do you guys think?

There are dealers who will deal out there or even individuals who have fallen on hard times and have to sell.

Looking forward to welcoming you to the club!!
Thanks for the welcome!!
What do you think of the price on this Z?

You can get them for a whole lot less than 60K, I got my 318 mile '15 Z/28 for 53895 + an 84 month 70000 mile GMAC warranty for $1465. I got mine from a smaller town dealer willing to make a certified Z/28 move fast. No argument; but I did whittle them down, as the started from a larger group of 8 dealers. Dealer competition helps...

I am in California...I realize that other states have great deals but, getting a z28 shipped to CA and then paying taxes and license fees can add up to more than 10% to the sales price, This deal is 59k total including all taxes and fees...OTD (out the door).

X2. Sounds good for OTD in CA. I can only imagine your in a 'higher' tax state. As already stated, who knows what OTD means for you.

Base price on the car you described should not be over $53,500 though.

Bottom line - if your good with the deal it doesn't matter what the price is.

You going to be ok in California w/o AC?

The taxes are high there? Right?

What's the price before tax? What color?

Mine was 57k otd with AC and six speakers. Ashen gray metallic.

Quoted Vehicle price was 58500. OTD. Taxes and vehicle license fees are high, combined are about 10% of purchase price. This Z28 is white and it would be challenging in the heat of the summer without AC!!

Did not see that one but, shipping and getting it out here to CA would be the deal breaker on most out of state cars.

I decided this morning to keep my ZL1 and save my money for the future bad ass ride that hasn't come out yet. Thanks for all the help!!

Yep, I would have kept the ZL1 even if I would of bought the Z28. But, I am running out of room in my garage with all my vehicles and just can't leave any of them outside. I think my next purchase will be a lift!!

You can get a storage unit. I keep one of my cars in a storage unit at all times due to space constraints. Not enclosed either.
