Agreed, but before you do that, preform the steps above.

The CEL stuck around for about 8-10 more miles, the code was for the throttle position sensor being off, no biggie. After the 8-10 miles the CEL went away.

My suggestion, install the ported TB, make sure the sensor wire is plugged back in, start her up, I am sure the CEL and the sputtering will happen. Let her run a bit, about 15-30 secs. Turn her off, start her up again and see if she starts normal. If she does take her for a nice long drive with the wife/girlfriend. By the time you guys come back home, the CEL will probably be gone.
I got the same code when I pulled it off to work on the IM. I just removed it and cleaned the sensor. However between the time of taking it off and putting it back on I probably did somewhere close to the same procedures for the throttle/idle learn reset.

Take a ride to a local auto parts store (with the good TB on) and by a cheap scanner, you can get one for about $45. I have one, always good to have.

Yea....try the relearn procedures next. It's a pretty easy step by step process.

Note the last step of that relearn procedure, sometimes when you don't clear the code, it will keep kicking the resulting side effects, in your case the reduced engine power.

I would install the stock TB, buy a scan too, that clears codes as well and get to work.

Or

Just take the car to autozone/pep boys/oreilly install the ported TB right there in the parking lot, see if you get the CEL and the reduced power side effect and have the tech there check the code and clear it.

I disconnect the battery to clear them but they come back, and go away when I install the stock, I'm doing the relearn this now and if that doesn't work I'm gonna try to find a way to figure out what the codes are.....

After your done with the relearn process, just pull fused 5 & 20 for 15 minutes, that should clear any codes.

No worries on the comm error....sometimes you get that on the scan tools.

The other errors are what you get when you unplug the TB sensor.

Just go ahead and pull the fuses like nyrfan suggested, I can't believe I didn't think of that. Once you put the fuses back in and the car starts up, and you still get the codes with the ported TB installed, my guess is that the sensor on the ported TB is screwed up somehow and I would contact Tracy.
