I am hoping that it has a mode similar to my Z06 "Competitive Mode".
That allowed me to steer with the throttle and spin the tires but still save me from losing it.

I called the two different things traction control and Active Handling. Traction control was to keep the rear tires from spinning and would shut down the power to the rear wheels when on (weird when you got air and it got quiet instead of revving).

Active handling would apply the correct braking to straighten you out when you started to rotate.

I went from all on when I started, to competitive mode as my skill level improved to all off.

I will skip all on at track days as long at there is a mode like the competitive mode. When I get comfortable with the car, I'll shut that off at track days too.

Excellent! I live in South Carolina now, but lived in Charlotte 20+ yrs. I get up there often to see daughter in Concord! She lives real near ZMAX.. I'm still not too far from Chlt either!

That is incorrect. PTM modes 2-5 all have launch control same as PTM on ZR1. However, mode 5 has a special launch control for Prepped drag strips.

Yes, LC is available in modes 2-5. But apparently, mode 5 is specifically tuned for prepped drag strips.

Where did you read that? I wish a GM employee (Scott or Mike) could chime in here and clarify...

Thank you post posting that Link!! Excellent. It replaces the manual that was just out a month ago! The previous one did not have ZL1 info in it. It's a wealth of info!

It seems like they're slowly taking away all of those fluid checks...no more transmission fluid dipsticks...no more steering fluid...
