With full race exhaust n tune bald tires and eibach springs n sways and k&N intake I ran 12.6@118. How are all of these trap times so low? Y are mine high? Will my trap speed go up or down with better tires?sorry only went to the track once. First run was this and best. My 60 ft time was 2.2 to 2.8 on my runs.

Drag radials or slicks will help a lot. Practice your launches, if you want to go right when the light turns green trying hitting it after the second light goes out on the countdown. Or you can sit there and think about your launch and go when you want after the light turns green (the other guy will likely go, doesn't matter). Bottom line: You need to get your 60' time under 2.0. The more you improve that time the better your run will be (timewise), assuming you don't make any other mistakes.

If you want to mod your car (I don't know exactly what you have) I would go with long tubes (catted or not), dyno tune, 17" Weld wheels, DR's or slicks (have to put slicks on at the track), 295's or bigger on the rear, pizza cutters on the front (narrow). Supercharger is the best power producer.

If you skip the wheels/tires, I found Kooks LT's w/high flow cats for $1100 and dyno tune for about $200-300. You can also look at torque converters once you do the Lt's and dyno tune. Of course, warranty on these components and engine will likely go out the window. I have NT05 street tires (275x40/20's) and they're not much better than stock street tires. Nitto does sell DR NT05's but they will only last about half the life of the street versions if you leave them on your car all the time.

BTW: Your time is pretty good for a 4000 lb car!

118 trap should be a high 11 second pass on decent tires. You're pretty much trapping what a stock 2011 GT500 would trap. Were all your trap speeds that high or just one?

Probably the DA. Their have been like 4 or 5 bolt on camaros trapping 117-119 on here. All were in negative DA I think. One had about 200lbs in weight reduction as well.

113-114 is average trap for a bolt on ls3 most of the time.

I'm really interested in your 60 and 330' with those tires. You got a scan of the slip? That's pretty incredible with those tires.

I have been to the track several times, going back this thursday. the fasteds time I have seen out of any 5.0 at memphis motorsports park was a 12.8, Last time I saw that run it was 60 degrees out side..., That was last year, so I am a little behind this year... The 12.8 I saw him run was suposidly on a completely stock 5.0, but he had a huge DYNO SPEED RACING, sticker in the back window... he was on street tires.. IDK

accoring to the fast list on this very site the average bolton Camaro traps 112mph or so.

I know a few mustangs that could eat your car alive. One is a daily driver gt500 that's capable of low 10 second passes on drag radials. Just because you pick on stock cars in your modded camaro, don't think it's the shit. We have a local problem with a guy like you that does that same thing in a bullitt mustang with a cobra motor. No one likes him.

Those 60' times are killing you. You need better suspension and drag radials. Should be rolling a 1.4-1.6 60' if you wanna trap faster.

I dont know "fast tracks" I only know what I did and where. So my times aren't good because I did it at atco? Is it fast because it's at sea level? I live on long island where should I go? Typical hater. I don't have weight reduction. And I have 419 rwhp and 411 rwtq.
