Been here in J-Ville the weekend. Haven't done anything with cutouts. Got them in my trunk. Might send them back to Jegs.
After that video of the flames throwing underneath I don't want to just slap these in. I'll figure it out later. |

You're not paying attention then. I've seen it on two cars now. And I haven't been looking for it. Go to the second pull at 0:43 into this vid. It happens more than you think. I have no doubt that there are people who don't even realize it. |

all thats happening is excess fuel is being burned in the exhaust stream when coming off the gas hard. same thing is going on right now with your car. only difference is, all the fire is inside the exhaust. Just think of it like an afterburner for your car...lmao won't cause any serious damage unless you have the turndowns installed as turnups...

There are pics on here of installs where there is no turndowns. Kinda freaks me out a bit. |

Maybe its not enough but my DMH cutouts have a small turndown hood just above the butterfly valve. Plus where mine were installed some of the factory exahust heat shield is still intact above the cutouts. I also think you would only get a prolonged flame when you come off a heavy load situation like an in gear WOT run and you leave it in gear for the wind down - just like you see on the dyno run. Besides that would look really cool at night!
