I found this rather humorous. For while the oil expert at Blackstone was telling us brand and constitution of oil doesn't matter, he is also telling us, "don't bother paying us to evaluate the oil in your street car because it's always going to be fine."

A UOA is a good thing. Just pulled one on a friends Buick Century with the 3.1 V6 and it is showing major coolant leak into the oil. But the oil looks fine when you drain it. After research, this particular engine is notorious for intake gasket leaks. Good thing I did the UOA, caught it before it did major damage.

Had the same thing happen when we owned a 2002 Venture, it had coolant in the oil. Tuned out to be the same thing and it was covered under warranty.

If it is N/A and more or less stock it should be fine.

If it's cammed,blown or uses N02 as a power adder it might be beneficial to have it checked by the lab.
