Less headroom with Recaro's?
Looking a ordering a '14 1LE anyone confirm seat height from the standard seats to the recaro's, no dealers around have any recaro optioned to test out, currently with a helmet on in the car with the seat down all the way I still need to slouch down slightly (6'3"ish) just wondering if ill loose any headroom with the recaros?

You will gain an inch or so... at least that was my impression when I sat in the recaro equipped 1LE at the fest last year...

I've sat in both. More headroom with the Recaros. |

Or said another way 1" less padding in the recaro's. that would be pain full for my big bones.

I chose not go to go with the Recaros for the same reason. Loved the feel of them but I'm a little larger than the average man and I could see them being uncomfortable for a dailydriver. I would love another inch of headroom though

I'm 5' 11" with Recaros and no sunroof. I adjusted my seat to where I felt comfortable for autocrossing (I sit a little closer when I race). I then put my helmet on and I was hitting the roof a little. I moved the seat forward a little and reclined the seat back a little as well and was able to come up with a good seat position with the helmet on. I would strongly recommend trying this out before pulling the trigger on the car. I don't know if the seat height is any different from the recaros to the standard seat. I would think the recaros would give you more head room.

I have a 2014 w Recaros, My 6'4" friend that never fits any car except trucks fit great and he was amazed about that, he may start looking into one for himself.

I've drove both and recaros offer a bit more headroom. An inch may be generous.

Bro come on....almost every car that drives around you has more headroom. The headroom and visibility sucks in these cars. There are several attributes that make up for it, but let's be realistic, headroom ain't one of them.

No different than any other sports car I've owned, I slam the seat as low as it goes. I have plenty of room, I'm only 6''0", and visibility does suck.
