It's a poor mans camaro.
It has been almost 2 years since i purchased my camaro, and I joined this site on exactly the same day I bought my car. I've been meaning to start a journal a long time ago, but for some reason, never found the time to just sit down and start.
Here's a list of what i have so far: Appearance - Bowtie blackout Synergy green Door panel and dash inserts AAC footwell lighting - Green AAC v6 scanner - Green AAC chrome turn signal bulbs Synergy green hood spears Synergy green gill inserts 8pc blackout kit for tail lights/side markers Blacked out tail light bezels Performance - Injen Cold Air Intake Vmax Ported Throttle Body BBK LT w/ Hi Flow Cats Corsa Catback Hurst Short Shifter RX catch can w/ Breather Zex nitrous kit/accessories Trifecta tune Suspension/Wheels - RS rims - blackout BMR tunnel brace BMR trailing arms BMR trailing arm bushings Eibach lowering springs Here she is band new, nothing modified on her: She didn't stay this way long enough to get better pictures. lol And my very first mod. I was very proud. Just some matte black vinyl. My cars first cruise with some local camaro folks: Next step, I ordered my Corsa Catback, BBK long tubes w/high flow cats, and Injen Intake at the same time. While i was in the process of installing the headers, the UPS guy showed up with my intake. Corsa came in a few days later. Now that she can breathe a lot better and is sounding mean, I let her play with some more local camaros at the hoover dam and Mt. Charleston: Next mod, i felt like trying out the Hurst Short Shifter: I had the white knob and flat hurst stick on for a few months, but then decided to make it look stock with their black stick, so i can use the factory shift knob. So she basically looks stock, but still have the hurst short throw. More to come very shortly...

So almost a year of ownership, I decide she needs a little more color. I was thinking blue, maybe red...maybe even IOM for an accent color. Never really occured to me to try Synergy Green. Figured it was probably be fairly unique to have a Cyber Grey Camaro with synergy green accents. So I pulled the trigger on the engine cover and interior trim. With a help of a friend, we tackled this together.
with synergy green RX catch can: Next, i wanted the exterior to have some synergy green on it. My first idea was to paint a ghost stripe, in synergy green. If that is at all possible, i'm not sure. I figured I would contact a vinyl shop to see if they can somehow get a ghost stripe done. after a half dozen trial and errors, i come to the conclussion that it can not happen, with vinyl. And painting is just not an option if i can't tell what it will look like beforehand. lol So I ordered hood spears. But while i was waiting for them to ship, i found a cool paint at Lowe's, and I figured i would be ripping my stock stripes off anyway, why not play a little. So this is what I came up with, for the week i was waiting for my hood spears. Cameleon Paint About a week before Camaro5fest2, I was lucky enough to have a good friend give me a great deal on some RS rims. So I decided to plasti dip them and buy some new rubber. I also dropped her an inch with some eibach lowering springs and added BMR trailing arms: During the fest, there was a vendor there selling vinyl stripes, and just happened to have synergy green hood spears!

Great Personal Touches!!
PoorMansCamaro, Nice build. Love your personal stripes. Am I seeing correct--do they change color with different angles? Isn't it cool when you can say that you did the work? Keep up the nice job and continue with pix.....

Very nice build log. Love how you are doing what you can on your own. I try and do everything myself as well to help bond with the car.
What were your dyno numbers? Did you spray on the dyno?
