Yes, you will need to add fluid after you install the ADM cooler. You add it directly at the transmission, since there is no other way.

What kind should be in the back of the owner's manual - under maintenance. Don't know how much though.

jsharp, the tranny takes Dexron VI fluid. There is a filler plug on the passenger side of the case. The fluid has to be pumped into the filler hole. It is important to have the transmission fluid warmed to the proper temperature.I believe it's between 87 F and 125 F. If you service the tranny when the fluid is colder than 87 F, the tranny will be too full and if you service the fluid when the fluid temp is hotter than 125 F, the fluid level will be underserviced. To get the right fluid level you must have the engine running, in park, and the tranny fluid temps in range. Then remove the fluid level check plug on the bottom of the pan. When serviced properly, the fluid will just drip slightly from the hole.

sounds fun lol. Thanks! So your saying get under the car while its running to add fluid or just let the engine trans warm up and then shut down and add fluid?

simply put,, it's a sonofabitch without the right equipment......the process is simple enough, but without a lift and some way to pump fluid into the transmission, it can be a real pain.....
with just a cooler installation, you shouldn't have lost enough fluid (normally) to hurt anything if you wanted to drive it to a shop to have someone with a lift and a fluid pump top off the trans fluid. Totally worth the 25 or 30 bucks it would cost, in my opinion...the fluid level needs to be checked after a new cooler is installed, without a doubt..

I installed a dip stick in my tranny so it will make it earlier when I do service it.
