Tell me about your LS
Hello everyone, im looking for some advice/reviews on a LS Camaro. I am currently looking at getting an LS in a couple of months and was hoping to get your reviews on how you like your LS. Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I just want to get some feedback on how you like your LS and what made you decide to get an LS over any other Camaro Trim. Thanks Everyone!!!

its nice.... its a base model, however its not really stripped down at all. The power is there. I have a manual. It will still turn heads, but rims are a must.

Originally I chose the LS because it was what I could afford, but this car is Terrific and I love it! It shares nearly all of the most-mentioned best features with the SS - beautiful styling, great handling, solid/quiet ride, and lots & lots of attention wherever we go.
I did add a set of the SS 20-inchers and that makes a big difference in looks. Some other reasons I went with the LS: I prefer cloth seats, don't need a bunch of extra gizmos to go haywire, bluetooth? get off the damn phone and drive! Did I mention affordability? 25k with stripes & spare tire!!! that's a super price for a great car! This car is SO great I don't think you can go wrong no matter which way you go. Good luck with your decision, and post some pics when you get it. |

I just saw an unusual LS on a dealer lot in Southern Il. Rally yellow with black rally stripes and black 21" rims and tires plus manual transmission. Sticker price was $28K. I didn't realize you could get the dealer installed 21" wheels and tires. The LS looked pretty good with those wheels plus you'd still have the steel heritage wheels & tires for winter. That is another option I never considered. Add a set of fog lights and this would be one good looking car. I wonder which speed limiter comes on the LS. For the price of those wheels and tires it ought to be the 155.

I got my LS because of the price tag. But I was blown away with how "not base model" it feels. It drives the same as a 2LT. I have the manual trans which makes it 1000000x more fun Right now my car is stock except for an amp and sub, but I just ordered a cold air intake and plan on redoing the exhaust, adding racing stripes and fog lights very soon...... at some point new wheels and a supercharger, as well as the halo HIDs But even stock it is a great car for a 19 year old girl It gets me a lot of attention!

I was waiting for the vert to come out. But my tC was having issues and I needed a daily driver. Saw an LS and the price was too good to pass up. This car is juat as much fun as my 69 SS vert and I can drive it everyday. I am using the heritage rims for winter but will stay with the 18 wheels due to tire cost. 90 vs +200 Got a set of wheels from another camaro for the summer for 500.
I added a Barton short shift, and HID headlights and foglights, airraid cai, havoc dove tail, and multiple bling. The aftermarket is exploding for part. The price point of the LS is better than any other V6 options. I wouldn't be surprised that the next version of the camaro will not include an LS model forcing people to by the LT with high markup option to make the GM bottom line better. The V6 performance wise has made me rethink my purchase of a V8 vert. I want a vert but I really do love this LS.

I have a loaded SS but have seen a couple of LS's at camaro shows. There cool because they are few and far between. Not a big fan of black wheels but those Heritage wheels are so retro- very nice. There's not many around but a local dealer here in Ct shows 3 LS's in stock. two @ $23,000 and one @ $25,000 : Loehmann Blasius Chev, Waterbury, Ct 203 437-4141.

I love my LS. It is my daily driver. Great power. Great looks. How many 22k cars are on the road that turn heads everywhere? This one does

I don't think there is anything "base" about the LS.

"LS" LOOKS SUPER! I got the 1LT but if I was the only one going to drive it i would have gotten the LS with Manual transmission.. Being married we had to Compromise...She wanted the Leather seats, of the 2LT, but I didn't want the price. so we got the 1LT w/Automatic split the difference...
I would have been perfectly happy with a LS
