Low dust pads equal decreased braking. Not a good recipe while tracking your car. The stock setup is pretty damn good and has been proven to work well for occasional tracking.

Depends on what you're looking for and how much you want to spend. We have a group buy going with Racing Brake for their 2-piece slotted, drilled rotors which are about 6 lbs lighter than the stock rotors.
Here's a link with the info and pics: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...t=Racing+brake Their ET500 pads have much better stopping power than stock and with much less dust. A couple of things to remember is to replace your brake fluid with an upgraded fluid like SuperBlue or something equivalent, and I'd highly recommend upgrading to stainless steel braided brake lines.

The most effective way to achieve this is to have separate pads and rotors for street and track driving.
Aggressive track pads are pretty much MANDATORY to stop a 400HP/3600 LB car with any consistency. You also pretty much need high temp brake fluid. To do it right - get Hawk Perf. Ceramic pads or something similar and run them w/ your stock rotors. This will GREATLY reduce brake dust but you will also reduce stopping power to some extent. It is what it is. Then get appropriate track pads and another set of rotors for HPDE. Race pads and low dust ceramic pads often do not play well on the same set of rotors. There are a zillion varieties of street and race pads for your car as the front pad is the same as an STi/EVO/older CTS-v etc. and the rear pad is a common Brembo shape. If you do elect to run a street pad on the track you will likely: Ruin your street pads Potentially ruin your rotors Go a few laps and then suffer fade - this puts you, your car and the other drivers at risk. Here is a thread outlining exactly that. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2073305 -Ken |

i have hawk ceramic pads on my car.i still get brake dust,it is just not as bad.ceramics will cut the dust about 2/3,so i still have to wipe off my wheels.i don't know of a dustless pad.

They should just make a small vacum that fits around the the back side of the pads to suck up the dust while your driving! haha
