I just think if they do name it the SS that the SS as a package will be gone. They may move over to the LTZ package names, i guess....
Why would they? That makes no sense whatsoever. Just because the Zeta sedan will be named SS doesn't mean GM can't use the SS badge on anything else anymore.

Contrary to what people here believe, the Camaro is not the most important or special car GM has ever built.

If they DO decide to name that car the SS, which I really hope they don't... I wonder if you can get an SS SS?

Touche. I'm just biased because I owned a Camaro SS. No mean intentions.

No, the whole point of the SS nameplate is because the car will have a standard V8 powertrain.

That does bring up the issue of what will happen if a V6 model ever materializes.

Or they could just remove all confusion completely and name the car what it really is.

Chevrolet Commodore.

Sounds like it should be the name of a boat...

I've always liked BelAir

Name recognition is too important to marketing these days, more people recognize the SS nameplate than LS/LT.

LS and LT have been around for a long time too. Not nearly as long as SS but for over 30 years.
