I have my heart set on a CGM Z/28, but this color has definitely peaked my interest.

Any input on how hard it is to keep clean vs CGM? Is it a little bit better than regular black in that regard?

Much, much, much, much better. Has all the great looks of black, nice flake, without the streaks and cracks of traditional black.

EXACTLY... and well worth the extra $195... I've had a lot of comments from people who didn't expect to see the metallic flakes..

I see quite a few of the newer SUV's with rearview cameras on the tail lift... and in my sons crossover, as soon as he shifts into reverse, his navsystem becomes his camera picture. Its a nice feature for backing. I saw the same set up on the Arcadias.

The only way I'll trade my SS is for a 2012 Carbon Flash Metallic Z-28! We'll see.

Here's some closeups of Granite Black Metallic on my Tahoe... this is at night in the garage... out in the sun it's way nicer than plain flat black...

It should do well on the Camaro...

Glad to see they are offering 3 styles of the 20" wheels and a special 45th anniversary appearance package. Not too jelous of the rear view camara though. Such an option belongs more on a minivan in my opinion.

I hope we'll be to option in the black stripes on the new carbon color.

I'm thinking after 45th anni package, rearview cam, suspension, 20" wheels, and the new carbon color you'll be close to, if not exceeding $50,000! Ouch - that's GT500 price ranges!

I had one, and I remember having to argue with the dealer that yes, indeed, that color was offered in 1997 and showed him the original door sticker and sticker on the glove box.

I'm disappointed to see the next best color (may be the same? They look very similar) - Aqua Blue Metallic - is no longer available for 2011.

I hope they bring back either ABM or Bright Blue, which I believe was only offered on the 1999 cars. Here's a photo (sorry if it's a member's car, but to their credit, it IS beautiful!!)

That's the first one of those i have ever seen on a Z28. I saw one around town here twice, and it was a V6.

As an owner of an ABM Camaro, (by luck, tracked it down used) - I hope they never bring it back! Plan on keeping mine a LONG time. Really like it that I've never seen another one in my town yet. Same for all the retro colors (Hugger orange , LeMans Blue, etc). What belongs with... belongs with. Love the first gen cars but so many new paints, metallics and colors today we don't need to go back in time.
Why not a true candy apple red? Agree on a lighter blue than IBM but pick one blue, something in between - trust me it will sell more than any green if blue fans (like me) have only one choice. Like a Catalina Blue from mid-70's truck line and add metallic to it. Also put black carpet with the grey interior that would be more popular too.

You would totally mistake it for a regular black car if you didn't look close. Not gray at all
