Looking to see if there are any additional 2010 Indianapolis Pace cars owners here. There are less than 200 of us! Anyone else out there on the site?

Very cool! I'm anticipating the release of the build number at the end of the month, or at least by mid-March, according to GM. Build date is April 10, 2010, a little more than a month before the race. I bought the car directly from the dealership that it was sent to (1 of 187 top selling dealers in 2009 received the cars). She'd been sitting in the showroom since arriving in June 2010.

Do you know of any sites that are tracking these? My 2002 LE (Limited Edition) is tracked on 35thLE.com, just curious if anyone has run across a site for these.

I got mine at Stingray Chevrolet. Went there to get a 1SS and the pace car was on the show room floor and my wife changed my mind.

I'm a new owner of a 2010 indy pace car and have a question. My car has magnetic door decals as compared to most which have a stick decal. Were magnetic decals available from dealer or is this an after market product?

I do not believe any were magnetic, all were decals. They are not put onto the cars until they arrive here in Indy for the 500 race in May. This is done for all the Pace cars. There is a group here that installs the decals, and preps the cars for the photos before they are 'given' to the drivers/dealers to show off the weeks before the race.

JFTR 2010 and 2011 were a little different. Since they were a RPO (Z4Z) Pace car optioned and delivered to dealers across the country and in Canada the factory was involved in installing the stripes and graphics. It is possible that a few cars used for the Festival cars weren't ready in time and decaled here in Indy, but for the most part most of the decals were "factory" applied.
Pic of 2011's as they arrived here in Indy, only thing added here was windshield banner, 500 logo on fender, and Festival car #'s decals (one on dashboard later in the month):

Sorry for digging up an old thread, but as of today I am a 2010 Z4Z owner. I had to double check when I seen it for sale. It tore me apart to get rid of my 2002, but I think it will be worth it.
