They haven't started, but dealers can take down payments at any time.

Following up with my dealer today to find out when I should come down, since the order cutoff for 13's is (edit)today, which means 14 ordering should pick up after.

i'm trying to order but not available yet. Mine says no allocations this week but maybe next week. word is ordering starts on may 2nd but the "ordering banks" opened today.

What exactly is an order bank and how. It different from a actual order expected to being May 2nd?

It's been like that since the 5th gen has been around, maybe longer but this is the only car I follow. I can see it being crazy with something like the Z28 where pricing is more of a guessing game but the 2014s shouldn't be too much more than the 2013s.

I guess dealers will order them no matter what. Maybe that's the whole idea. Get dealers to order a bunch of loaded up ones.

All I can say is you already got yours before they changed them. And careful, Scott might blow up on you if you say something too bad about the, uh, improvements that everyone worked on. Tell you honestly, first time I sat in a 5th Gen was Indy 2008, it was a mule care with 320,000 miles on it. I absolutely hated the 4 gauge cluster. I said when I get mine, before I drive it off the lot I'm taking a hammer and smashing the cluster and throwing the shards of plastic on the dealer asphalt and then driving off. But, I wouldn't say they grew on me so much as I don't pay attention anymore. I do clean them, but other than that I don't look down while I'm driving. But I'm very glad I got my car before they changed the tail lights.
