Mine dynoed 475 rwhp my neighbor and wifes car dynoed at 486 and 492. No head work on any of them. I would say tune or something in the install like little88 asked.

I think 429 is onto something. I'm not sure how the tune could cause it to peak early.

I agree. There's not 30rwhp left in the tune unless the timing is totally jacked. Have you base lined on that dyno before the cam? That's what I want to know.

Early peak is only determined by camshaft valve events, not the tune. Cam could even be ground wrong. If you had degreed the cam (obviously you didn't) you would already have the answer you now have to look for. Live and learn.

When installing the push rods when placing them is there a slot or some kind of alignment groove farther down to sit the pushrods or you put them in and there set?

When I install the pushrod I make sure that the tip is on that lifter cup. Ill push down on it and feel it compress and decompress. That way I know it's on.

I installed this same cam myself and had it tuned by a guy that came highly recommended from some guys who had LS1 cars. My car dyno'd 455/425 on a dynojet and he had my A/F at 14.1. Way too lean for my taste. I ended up making the drive to Lethal and had Shawn redo my tune. The man is thorough and took his time making sure everything was spot on. We put my car on his dyno jet and I made 484/461. It was also 100 degrees in his shop.

Wow I made 1 more HP than you haha. The Night Fury is a lot more aggressive than mine but I have the ported intake so I guess it evens out.
