NEP VVT cam here, 10.8 @ 126.7mph in my car all motor with the stock lower end, and the D/A was +900 on that pass, never made a pass when it was cold out. If you have a shop you can work with that has positive experience with VVT, and tuning it, your car will be faster optimizing the VVT system.

If I buy all of the parts for the VVT setup minus the actual cam, what am I looking at labor-wise for the cam, install and tune and buying the cam from one of you shops on here?

If Ryan does it and you pick the right day, you get to have lunch with a couple of the elite V8 help desk crowd. Some say that's priceless. I don't know who, but surely someone would.

Im not even going to beat a dead horse....lol. I like it, and use it on every automatic, and the fastest L99 cars out right now run it.

Id just say do your research, decide which route you prefer.

Keep an eye on the fast list though. There will likely be 4-5 10 second VVT equipped L99s by the end of this year. If not more!
Ryan no argument I would agree the VVT works better but the G8 guys are running smaller cams and smaller stalls so the other stuff is working. One big plus that could be helping the G8 guys it looks like they are getting KILLER DA.

They claim it isn't reliable enough to be in a higher HP car but that is being proven wrong every day. It's all in the tuning.
I agree with this. It seems like Rhino is the only one here that really knows when he's doing with the VVT where there are many people here that know what they are doing with the LS3 cam/conversion. Not saying VVT is bad, but I definitely don't want to look for a needle in a hay stack if I need to have something fixed or looked at.

That's debatable. There have been numerous threads of people running the NFC and not putting down the numbers coming out of Lethal. Not saying anything against Lethal but it is what it is. Also, what times are they posting? The fast list doesn't specify which cam/heads package their running so it's hard to say whether they are backing up those numbers at the track.
