Two Big Events Coming Up Hosted by Scenic City Camaro Club

The Scenic City Camaro Club, based out of Chattanooga, Tennessee has two big events coming up. First, the Camaro-only “Pledge Cruise” is to be held on Saturday, September 21, 2013. Participants will raise money through pledges per mile for Children’s Miracle Network and Children’s Hospital Foundation.

We will leave Chattanooga, in a “Camarovan," travel through the Tail of the Dragon to near Robbinsville, NC, and back down the Cherohala Skyway back to Chattanooga. Prior to the cruise, each team (individuals in each Camaro) will get pledges from friends, family and co-workers. All monies collected for this event will be added to the total from both events and go to the charity. Check in and safety inspection will be at Mountain View Chevrolet between 7:00 - 7:30 AM Eastern Time. This is a rain or shine event!

Second, The Scenic City Camaro Club will be hosting a Car Show and Fall Festival October 5th, 2013 with a Chevy Vs. Ford theme, benefiting Children’s Miracle Network – Children’s Hospital Foundation. This event will be held at Mountain View Chevrolet, 310 E 20th St, Chattanooga, Tennessee.

This is an OPEN car show where all models of cars, trucks and motorcycles are invited; however since it is themed Chevy Vs. Ford, the dealerships will compete for a “Grand Trophy” for participation for either the most number of Chevys or Fords participating. The winning dealership will display a large trophy in their showroom, and bragging rights, until the next year of competition. There will also be trophies for all classes and including a “Best of Show,” “Club Participation.” There will be awards for “Top Twenty” and dash “participation” plaques for the first fifty cars.

The event will also feature:

• Raffles including 50/50
• Arts and Crafts booths
• Food Vendors
• Kid’s Face Painting
• Live Bands
• Special Guests

For more information on both events, and to register for either or both go to, http://www.scccevents.com or on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/showdowninthesceniccity

I live in north Alabama and would like to be involved in this event. Do I have to join your club to participate or do I just need to get some pledges?

You do not have to be a member of SCCC to participate in the Pledge Cruise. We do request that your register from the web site (http://www.scccevents.com and click on the pledge cruise link) and print out and get pledges prior to the event. Each participant is responsible for collecting on pledges and turn into SCCC between Sept 22nd and the day of our Car Show on October 5th.
