Installed RevExtreme oil catch can
I finishe the install of the RevExtreme Oil Catch Can. I must say, installation was a breeze and only took approx 20min. Statistics say it will definatley benefit having an oil can vs not having one. I bought the polished can for $119.00 with free shipping, 20min to install, 2 beers and a clear mind knowing I will not have oil in my intake............Definatley worth the money/time.

Yes, that picture is taken from the front passenger side. Your comments on your arrows are correct. Both hoses go to that 1 location and the Catch Can is attached on the other end.
I like you put the hose clamps on the hoses. I will need to get a couple as I only pushed the hoses on...

Ok so is this catch can more or less a safety device or does it help make the car quicker? I like to be safe but have more fun being quicker.

The catch can cools the oil vapor from the engine cavities that the pcv valve sucks into the intake. this cooling affect condenses the oil vapors and collects in the can,you drain this can at least weekly.the oil in the vapor no longer is coating the entire inside of your intake manifold.this oily surface now can collect minute particals which slow air flow.
hope this helped

Just FYI - I did NOT get any of those hose clamps - going to buy them today...so, no, all the hardware did not come with it!
Everything else is there - can & 2 hoses, bracket and 2 mounting bolts.

Mine came with no clamps.
Also. The mounting bracket did not line up with the holes on the catch can. I had to drill an extra half hole for it to work correctly. Not that big of a deal but kind of annoying for something I paid over 100 dollars for. |

OIL DRAINED
I had the catch can installed for no more than 500 miles on my SS(w/cam). I drained 1.5oz from it! This is proof this can does what it says
