Best Weekend Ever!

So, I live in coastal NC so if most of you know we are dealing with a good size hurricane. So I came out of work in this wind/rain to find my right passenger side tire has a flat So I get my car towed back to my house, and I wont be able to do anything until Monday morning. We are all under a crew few until 8pm tomorrow night and most dealerships/tire places are closed Sunday. Anyways, I am online looking up quotes and the local dealership here for 1 tire wants $600.00 including labor! Seriously....so I'm stuck trying to find other price quotes but I hope I wont have to pay more then $400.00. I have the Pirelli Pzero Nero P245/50ZR19. Any suggestions on how I can get a good price would be welcome!

Fronts are $219, rears are $249....but you'll have to wait a few days for shipping.
Would be worth it to me to save a couple hundred or more.

yeah $600 a tire is crazy. I sell pirelli 24 and 26 inch tires for way less than that. I just checked our warehouses and if we were to sell that tire in my shop it would be. $230 out the door.

Also- do you have discount tire up there?
On Discount Tire they are pretty much the same price as Tire Direct I think. And they have some special going on (but that may only apply when you buy 4)

Either way- see if they can repair the tire. If it's not too bad they can just plug it and it'll hold fine.

Hey guys, sorry for the late response, but Hurricane Irene took away my power lol. The damage on the tire requires a new tire. Looks like a piece of metal sliced the side of the tire. Trust me that was the first hope I had for it but it's toast! Thanks for all your advice and pricing! Monday I will go by this tire center near my house cause I have to tow the car. Hope the have the right tire I need!

Why not just take the wheel and tire to them? Get a buddy to drive you on over. Have them replace the tire then just mount yourself? Save on the tow.

Well I called USAA and they are going to cover the tow cost to the tireshop. Due to hurricane Irene's damage, most of my friend have issues they need to be taken care of (tree fell on the house, damaged car from flood damage ect) so I really cant ask anyone to help me out with mine. The tire place had to order the tire because they did not have any in stock in their wearhouse. I am supposed to hear from them tomorrow (fingers crossed) But thank you for the suggestions

Amy, nice to see another C5 owner from the Jacksonville area. Glad it was just a tire and not your car with the storm.

2quick: Me too, trust me I missed driving her! Funny story I was actually in the tow truck on the way to the tire shop. I had a truck pull up next to me and the guy asked if I wanted to trade my camaro for his truck. I said, "Do you want to pay $$$ to fix my tire?" He goes "Sure!" I then said, "It's not a v6 and I know how guys dont really like it unless its a v8 or higher." His response was, "Who cares, it's a camaro!" I laughed and thought, even with my car on the flatbed, it still attracts attention

How is the wear on the other tire side? It's usually not the best thing to replace just one tire. I only say that because I see your WAY EARLY VIN #9101585 and figured your still on the original tires.
