they are enforceable by best buy. they have every right to have your vehicle towed.

We have "Alternative Fuels/Hybrids" spots at my work. I used to park in them with the justification that nitrous was an alternative fuel. After 3 months, management finally kicked me out of the spot.

They don't specify what fuel efficient is so how could they tow our cars? Our cars are fuel efficent compared to a dragster

it's really at their discretion since it's their property and if they want to have your vehicle towed, they can.

So they could tow a Prius for not getting 100 MPG?

In all honesty you both are right. Best Buy has the right to tow you if they so desire. On the other hand if they don't have a "definition" to go by you could go back and have a nice "chat" with them about it.

Really depends if you get someone with their panties in a twist that day. Bet 9/10 you'll be fine parking there.

Whether you use those spots or not, tell the Best Buy manager, "Hey, there's a Prius and a couple other fuel-efficient cars that are parked way out in back by me! I want them moved to their reserved spots immediately!"...lol

They can't tow your car just because they feel like it. That's ridiculous. Especially given the fact that in NO cases do they actually own the parking lot. They are renters.

In any event, if they ever got up the stones to have your car towed from in front of their stupid sign (doubtful) you could sue them until they were dead.

Nope, all company cars are Ford hybrids. (hence the prefered parking for Hybrids) Only managers have company cars.

Just tell them you've got the fuel efficient LT Camaro.
Sad thing is my SS is the most fuel efficient vehicle I've got since I've averaged 20 MPG vs all my other cars that get 16-18 MPG on a good day.
