Using your iPod in our Verts

Have any of the 2011 vert owners experienced issues using their iPods through the USB connection? Specifically, frequent resets, missing track information or even just not recognizing the device?

I looked on the audio forum, and it looks like I have the current PDIM, but was wondering if there's a software update of some sort to fix this? Taking it in tomorrow regardless...

does it always pick up where you left off on the track each time you start the car? What was your build date?

Sometimes it defaults to the front Aux Port and I have to push the button to change it to the USB, but other than that it works great including picking right up where it left off.

As far as the build date, I believe the car was made sometime in March of 2011. I've had it since 4-27-2011

What you're experiencing is one of my symptoms as well. I've also noticed that it does not always show the song title and sometimes will reset when I got to select another playlist. These are all intermitment, but the restarting each time I crank the vehicle is fairly consistent.

Haven't had that many connection issues with it and I use it fairly often with both a 2nd generation Nano and a current generation Touch. I think in the 11 months I've had it, it's cut out on me 3 or 4 times (meaning audio just stopped out of the blue). More commonly, if I listen to it for more 30-60 minutes (or more) continuously, I'll start to get crackling coming through the audio until I pull the cable and plug it back in again. I've tried leaving it to see if it just goes away but it starts to get painfully loud after just 2 or 3 songs.

Well, if you're havig those kind of issues, i'd think it's time for plan b... take that vert in for service.

Anyhow -- even if these things are happening intermittently, it still is not normal. I'm taking mine in for service tomorrow. I cannot fathom why my iPod would be the issue, it's a newer generation and is updated to the most recent software. I'm hoping it's a software update.

I am having the same issue. I always thought That it was just my ipod being hold or the cord.

Doesn't always recognize the iTouch. Unplug and plug back in and no problems once it does show up.
Sonfs always restart at where I shut it off.

Make sure your ipod/iphone is at it's most current software.

Also for $5 I can tell you how to use Pandora.

or just read below~

As people have mentioned it plays the last song it was on. So before you connect it to a USB fire up the Pandora app and wait til a song plays then pause it. Lock your phone and then connect it to the USB. It will start playing Pandora through your speakers. Do NOT use the track controls on the wheel or dash, change songs through the app itself.
