My New ZL1 Bumper - Lots of PICS

Well I got in a hit in run last week, and because of my custom work I did to my v6 bumper (t2 ports and black vinyl lip) the insurance adjuster added $900 dollars to the value of my front bumper. So, as some of you saw in my last thread I ordered a ZL1 bumper and Im modifying it to make the light ports into ports for air, much like my t2 ports did for my long tube CAI.

So, before you guys freak out, where the cardboard is, is where I will be putting Black mesh, so this will cover any inperfections in my dremel abilities.

Enjoy.

and by next week it will look like this:

NICE! I like how you are keeping the T2 look instead of the regular ZL1 look.

Ya, Im not a huge fan of those zl1 lights anyways, and I would never use them because I run my Green Halos all the time, so I figured I would make them functional ports for my Cold air intake, and make it one of a kind

Awesome. So, is this an OEM ZL1 bumper or an after market? Also, without know the details of your hood, are you concerned the hood lines won't line up with the bumper's lines?

Awesome man and good way to be different! Btw!! There's somethig you can do to make it look even more true to the TF2 look. You see where the indent begins before the vent? If you flat black or satin black that part. It will make the ports look bigger and just like the TF2 car. A member here did it with his bumblebee and zl1 front end and it looks great

Are you going to get the AF-1 Premium Mesh Grille? I think it has a high-end look compared to the diamond mesh grilles.

This looks promising... I would be far too scared to chop up that expensive bumper though!
